Science Earthquake Question?
Okay so I am in 8th grade and so stressed with projects and finals so if you could please help me out, I would be so relieved!
For my science project, I need to build a house that is earthquake resistable. So it can have really cool features that will avoid an earthquake if it hits. I need 10 ideas! They do not have to be practical. Please help me out, I cant think of any!
Thanks!
1) mass damper in top and bottom
2) built on flexible surface on top of sturdy base
3) flexible pipes for water and gas
4) Shock absorbers
5) cross braces in floors and walls
hope this helps
