FEMA’s Responce to Earthquakes in CA.?
I live in San Jose, California and recently was struck with a 5.6 earthquake on October 30th.(The first large earthquake since the 1989 S.F. quake.) 96 aftershocks and mini-quakes has been recored since last week and after the initial earthquake.
The probability of “The Big One” striking is 10% within the next two weeks. I was wondering what would the Federal Government’s and FEMA’s response would be.
Note:San Jose has a population of nearly 1 million. San Jose is also part of the San Fransisco Bay Area, which is near several faults.
Nearly 7.2 Million people live in the Bay Area…
Why am I asking? Because of FEMA’s slow response to Katrina.
For those of you who have never heard of San Jose.
San Jose is also the 10th largest city in the US.
3rd largest in CA, and largest in Northern CA.
10% chance of a big one? Oh my what will happen to the piles of extremely valuable and fragile figurines I just bought.
FEMA’s response: *shrug* “Oops! Good luck out there!”
