The first answer. The moon is moving away from the Earth, about 1.6 inches per year. It is believed, before dinosaurs, but when pangea exsited, ocean waves were over 10,000ft. high, because the moon was so close to Earth; the moon actually was believed to cover the entire sky. Now, the moon has moved further and further away from the Earth. There are two theories of what’ll happen eventually with the moon pulling away from Earth. 1) it will eventually start moving closer to Earth by Earth’s gravity and repeat itself as it did 70million yrs. ago. 2) the moon will continue to move away from Earth and keep on moving away from Earth until we cannot see it again.
