Earthquakes in Indonesia, Samoa and even (week or so ago) in Australia, related to when moon and sun pull?
Is there any scientific evidence to suggest that the largest number of earthquakes happen when the moon and sun are pulling on the earth during what we see as full-moon phases? Volcanoes too? Should be easy to run correlations back to the destruction of Pompeii.
Related mainly to the pulls of mainly the moon, sun, Jupiter, and, Saturn, but ALL the planets and sun have varying vector forces acting on the Earth. Yes, there is scientific correlation of this, but not much as much as you might think there is. Nova had an episode recently where a geologist correctly predicted that the October,1989 earth quake would happen around a NEW moon ( I think it was a Nova episode, but it might have been a “How the Earth was Made” episode on the History channel). There’s a reason that Yellowstone had increased activity in February and two volcanoes in Alaska and Siberia erupted – Jupiter was in opposition with Earth in early February and again on August 14.
