Is the legend that Haleys commet destroyed port royal true?
I was doing research and read a story of a sailor who said that he survived the earthquake that pulled Port Royal back down to the depths and was superstious about Haleys commet witch flew by a week before the quake was a sign that something was going to happen. Is it true that halleys commet flew by before the quake or was the man drunk with tall tales?
