Im in college and im writing a process essay on earthquake preparation. this is my 3rd paragraph and im losing alot of ideas to write about. can you guys please help me out? any tips or revision is greatly appreciated. thanks alot.
With the basic preparation methods in mind, you must also be prepared with an abundant amount of emergency supplies. Such supplies would be a flashlight, radio, first aid kit, and food. After a drastic earthquake, water source and electricity might not be available for a certain amount of time. This is the reason why the supplies mentioned above are essential to your survival. Some other useful supplies to keep in mind are important documents, clothes, and money.
Keeping basic earthquake preparation in mind, it is essential to be prepared with the most important emergency supplies. These supplies should include an emergency reserve of water and non-perishable survival food, an emergency radio needed to stay informed for further instructions, a flashlight, first aid kit, and also a 72-hour survival kit or grab-in-go bag. Additional items are typically stored in these type of portable kits, such as the above mentioned items along with important documents, clothes, and some cash for emergency spending. Keep all these items packed inside your 72-hour kit so you are prepared in the event you are required to evacuate from an emergency or disaster situation.
Keep in mind, after a drastic earthquake or other emergency event, it may take rescue officials a while to reach people affected by a disaster, or to offer emergency help to those in need. Don’t forget the needs of children, elderly, and pets that are in your care, when planning for earthquake or other disaster situations.
