Comments on dancing life away poem?
So, you think you can dance?
Do you twirl on your toes
over graves of lost souls
or dance the last tango
through AIDS lines in Congo
maybe shuffle ball change
on the sick and deranged
does your big booty shake
like ruins in earthquake
perhaps dance the soft shoe
for those paying past due
a quick step or fox trot
so you don’t have a thought
arch your back, hold head high
on life’s woes take a bye
eyes right, you never glance
so you think you can dance
I love the rhythm and the ironic, grim humor. My specialties are the two schlep, and the tan went.
