How much longer are we gonna hear about that earthquake in Haiti?
How long has it been, like a month already! Every single day the earthquake hitting Haiti is all over the media and the news. Its getting really annoying. Even if they already got help, are we still gonna have to hear about the earthquake everyday 5 years from now? How much longer is this blown out of proportion story gonna last?
Could this possibly be a “race issue” so America doesnt look bad? Just like with hurricane Katrina. If a deadly F5 tornado wipes out an entire trailor park town, no one cares!
Oh probably for the next 6 months. I mean they still do stories about how New Orleans is still devastated by Hurricane Katrina, and how entire neighborhoods are still desolate wastelands and the poor people are suffering. It sickens me. Rebuild your own neighborhood, show some pride and do it yourself instead of always looking to the government. Clearly the US government isn’t going to solve the problem they should do it themselves.
I am also disgusted at people who plead with the average US citizen to send financial aid to Haiti when their our people in our very own communities who go to bed hungry every night because they lost their job, have run out of unemployment and food pantries can’t meet up with the overwhelming demand.
We should take care of our first before sending billions in aid to a country that, let’s be honest, was never really that great to begin with and not really our problem. I’d rather that billions go to helping US families who are in need than someone in another country.
