Do other readers here think that there has been an increase in natural weather disasters world-wide?
I’m just thinking about the recent three years – The Tsunami in Thailand, Katrina, the cyclone in Myanmar and now the earthquake in China. Additionally, the weather patterns appear more unpredictable and destructive. Is it too simplistic to blame it all on global warming trends due to the unrestrained burning of fossil fuels?
You should look back in history.
The 1930’s brought a long drought to the mid west. The drought lasted about 12 years.
The 1940’s brought in a very active hurricane season. 2 Cat 5 Hurricanes hit Florida. They ripped out the rail track that went to the Keys.
The 1970’s had record tornadoes. Over 180 tornadoes were recorded in a 18 hour time frame from the mid west to the north east.
Most people have history start when they are born. Since you didn’t live it, it didn’t happen. However these storms are just natural and normal.
