what's an earthquake like
What’s taking so damn long to send aid to Haiti?

I mean it’s been like a friggin’ week since the earthquake now. Kids are starving, women are crying, and men are being shot by police just for stealing a bag of rice to eat.

Roads are still impassable, the airport is still damaged, and many of the people who would have been coordinating aid in Haiti are dead.

Almost 3 million people are affected; this is not going to get solved in a short time.

Also, well-meaning but untrained and unprepared people are just showing up, and in some cases making things worse: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34958965/ns/world_news-haiti_earthquake/

Calm Before the Storm. Earthquakes coming. What’s going on?
